Motorists travelling from Umm Al Quwain to Ras Al Khaimah were shocked to discover that the police car parked on the side of the E311 highway was made out of cardboard.
The video was posted by Aly Naqvi on March 12, 2017, and has been generating interest from residents who never saw a gimmick like this before.
The cardboard vehicle looks exactly like a genuine police car, and also includes flashing red and blue lights.
Umm Al Quwain Police declined to comment whether they will continue to use the decoy as part of their campaign against speeding drivers.
The fake car has since been removed from the highway.
